Non-Hybrid Engines

There are a few options for what’s under the hood of the Ford Escape. The standard engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with three cylinders. It can make 181 horsepower and gets paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Another option is a 250 horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. It has four cylinders, and its turbocharger makes it considerably more powerful. It makes the Escape a lot more fun to drive around Willow Springs.

Hybrids

There are also hybrids for Westmont customers to think about. One is a plug-in hybrid. It can rely on electric power alone for about 37 miles.

The standard hybrid uses a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, which the plug-in hybrid also uses. The hybrid version has 200 horsepower and can earn up to 44 miles per gallon. In contrast, the plug-in hybrid can make 221 horsepower.

Interior Features

This SUV offers Hinsdale consumers plenty of space. It comes with good second-row legroom, and of course, the rear seats can be lowered to expand cargo capacity. Seats come standard with cloth upholstery, and they’re available with synthetic leather or genuine leather.

Technology is prominently featured in nearly all trims, with eight-inch touchscreens, smartphone compatibility, and SYNC 3 software. For daily commuting or exploring areas further away from Willowbrook, you might want to opt for a model with in-dash navigation. To keep you safe, the Escape comes with several driver-assist systems.
