In comparison, the 2025 Kia Telluride only offers a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Plus, the Ford Explorer ST and Ford Explorer Platinum offer an incredible 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine that pumps out 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque for thrilling acceleration near Westmont and beyond.

Versatility

Even though the Ford Explorer only seats up to seven people compared to the Kia Telluride, with seating for eight, the Explorer offers premium amenities throughout all trims. Explorer SUVs come with standard tri-zone automatic climate control to keep all three rows comfortable during changing weather around Downers Grove, while the Telluride only comes with dual-zone climate control. Ford Explorer models also feature a 119.1-inch wheelbase that improves comfort over bumps and ruts near Hinsdale, compared to the 114.2-inch wheelbase of the Kia Telluride.

Technology

When it comes to connectivity on treks near Darien, the Ford Explorer reaches new heights compared to the Kia Telluride. Kia Telluride models feature a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 4.2-inch instrument display, while the Explorer features the Ford Digital Experience with a 13.2-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. As a bonus, the Explorer offers up to a 14-speaker B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen®, while the Telluride only offers up to a 10-speaker Harman Kardon system for your karaoke sessions near Bolingbrook.
